" One of the key USPs of Azom is that they are a system builder with direct supply chain from Tier-I OEMs hence removing the middle men like distributors allowing them to service their systems much faster in terms of part replacement under their in-house warranty. This model is definitely better than current third party service approach with almost no accountability.
Legion V4 is customizable - CPU , GPU , Ram, Storage, Display etc. It's designed as a pure desktop replacement. If lucky, I might be able to plug in Nvidia's next gen GPU without having to change the system.
Starting from the first contact, I got a call from Azom, we discussed about an hour on my requirements. Got all the major queries answered on the call. Few queries post initial technical consultation were answered over email. I can never imagine getting access to Dell’s (my previous laptop) or any branded vendor's technical team or build team for any issue or even a tiny query. But here these guys are just a call / email away.
Coming to the laptop performance, the best ones about system are the thermals. They do tune the system in-house aka under-volting. However there is still headroom for higher performance.
Have tested multiple games on it now. No frame drops, no crazy high temps. The fans go to max in between and then quite down very much for most of the amount of time.
Battery Life is below average. Though you can't expect much from a Desktop Replacement.
Their build times can be improved. It took almost 3 weeks in my case to receive the system.
All in all, I’m loving the performance Legion V4 dishes out while maintaining the temperatures on load scenarios. Outclasses all the mobile workstation options I have seen in Indian Market.. " - Prateek
